Spear has an exciting opportunity for a Dental Assistant in our Scottsdale, Arizona office! This position will be setting up and breaking down courses at our facility for a private practice (as needed) with the following essential duties: Preparation of patients Patient care Office and laboratory duties Ensures operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements such as: -Following manufacturer's instructions -Troubleshooting malfunctions -Calling for repairs -Maintaining equipment inventories -Evaluating new equipment and techniques Additional Responsibilities Include: -Maintains dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies. -Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area -Provides diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies including CBCT/Pano and PA’s; as well as pouring, trimming, mounting and polishing study casts. -Assist the resident and visiting faculty during courses to ensure that all of the participants needs are being met -Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols. -Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests. -Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory. -Documents dental care services by charting in patient records. -Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. -Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. -Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. -Conserves dental resources for courses by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. -Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. -Requires the ability to multitask Qualifications You MUST have: Dental Assisting license (AZ) Completely certified CDA/ RDA CPR XRAY/Pano/CBCT Chairside Experience Knowledge of basic procedures & materials Experience with Cerec a plus Additional information Interested applicants can submit their resume to or directly to the job posting at All of your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. Physical Demands and Work Environment This is mostly a sedentary position, where normal bending, stopping, and lifting are required. Ability to interpret written text, prepare written documents, communicate via telephone and use of variety of computer based business applications.
